We are seeking a reliable and proficient tractor operator to slash the Greater Darwin road network during the wet season.

Tractor Operator Tasks Include:

• Must be able to proficiently operate a John Deere tractor, with at least two years’ slashing experience

• You will be part of a team slashing the National Highway, Rural State Arterial Roads and Rural Secondary Roads in the Greater Darwin Region

• Perform basic pre-start maintenance on tractor

• Complete electronic pre-start and risk assessments on tablet

• Erect traffic control signage

• Must take responsibility for the slashing route to be completed daily

• Must have high attention to detail and provide high quality mowing

• Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts 6am - 6pm

• Team 1 mobilise each day from Berrimah

• Team 2 must be able to work away from home for 11 days straight and return home for 3 days each swing

• Accommodation and meals paid for

• Ongoing work for the entire wet season through to the end of April

Qualifications and employment experience

• Must have minimum 2 years’ experience on a tractor

• Must have a valid NT drivers licence (LR / MR /HR is preferred)

• Must have a white card

• Traffic Control Tickets (desirable but not essential)
