About the role

As a Painter & Decorator at JJames Painting Contractors', you will play a vital role in transforming residential and commercial properties in the Caloundra West QLD 4551 area. This full-time position involves applying a wide range of painting and decorating techniques to deliver high-quality, long-lasting finishes for our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, or priming as required
• Applying interior and exterior paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, and spraying equipment
• Hanging wallpaper and other decorative materials
• Ensuring a clean and tidy work area throughout the project
• Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
• Providing expert advice on colour selection, product usage, and application techniques
• Keeping accurate records of materials used and time spent on each job

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Painter & Decorator, preferably in the residential or commercial sectors
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
• The ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• A keen eye for colour and design trends
