Avanti Pasticceria is a family owned wholesale Patisserie based in Glynde. We have been supplying cakes and pastries to many Adelaide eateries for 60 years.

We are looking for a qualified, motivated and well organised Baker / Pastry chef to join our family.

 

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

 

We are seeking a Pastry chef with knowledge and experience in the following areas:

•Handmade individual continental cakes, tarts, slices plus larger tortes, cheesecakes and decorating cakes.

•Batch Weighing, Mixing, Dosing, Pastry Sheeting, Proofing, Baking, Cutting, Slicing, Piping.

•Experienced and interest in new product development

•Able to work in a busy time critical team environment

•Sound numeracy, written and verbal communication skills

•Good stock control and organisation skills.

•Fit and able to lift up to 25kg.

Position is 5-6 days a week including Saturday, 4am starts with Award penalty rates. Initially, Part time with view to moving to full time for the right candidate.

The applicant must have a minimum of 1 years on the job experience in this field or Certificate III in Patisserie and be permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident).
