AustEx is a manufacturer at the forefront of the land-based exploration industry, specializing in the design, construction and maintenance of drilling rigs and related equipment. We are proud of having developed novel designs to improve the safety, reliability and production of drilling operations around the world. 
We have recently moved into our new purpose-built facility in Forrestfield to improve our manufacturing and engineering capability. We are now looking for another person who can bring their existing experience to help move the company forward another step.

• All aspects of fabrication (marking out, tacking, welding, and finishing jobs to a high standard)

• Interpreting engineering drawings in order to complete jobs

• Use of various machine tools and hand tools in the manufacturing process

• Keep correct housekeeping in your work areas

• Working in a fast paced environment

• Working as part of a team

And here’s what we require from you:

• Trade qualified

• Prior experience as a boilermaker

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings

• Ability, and desire, to be part of a team

• Excellent communication skills

• Great attitude and work ethic

• Forklift ticket is advantageous but not required

Standard hours expected are 7am - 4pm with plenty of overtime available. Saturday work will include morning tea provided by the company.

Option as ABN contractor or full time position with overtime penalty rates and quarterly profit share.
