Welder / Fabricator - Wacol, QLD Mon - Fri role, 5.30am-4pm & early finish on Fridays $38 per hour base salary + overtime Modern, clean facility with a supportive team environment About the company   Our client is a respected Queensland-based manufacturer specialising in high-quality trailer builds and parts for the automotive industry.    About the role   This hands-on fabrication role involves building trailers from raw material to finished product using MIG welding within a structured production environment. Duties    Build trailers from raw material to finished product within a process-line setup   Fabricate and assemble components using 350-grade (5–16 mm) and 700-grade (5–25 mm) steel plates Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols Use jigs, fixtures, and alignment tools to achieve dimensional accuracy Maintain consistent weld quality and meet production standards   Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure safe handling of heavy materials   Report fabrication progress, quality concerns, or issues to the supervisor   Contribute to team output and maintain a clean, organised work environment  Skills and experience   Trade qualification in welding/fabrication or demonstrated equivalent experience  Proven MIG welding skills, including multi-pass and heavy-plate welding   Ability to perform high-quality fillet and butt welds in structural steel   Experience working with heavy fabrication, trailers, truck bodies, or similar industries   Competence in reading and applying fabrication drawings and welding procedures   Physically fit to handle steel plates and workshop duties   Strong attention to detail with a focus on weld quality and accuracy   Commitment to workplace safety and correct use of PPE   Team-oriented, reliable, and able to meet production targets    Benefits   Competitive salary  Consistent full-time hours with optional overtime on Saturdays  Training provided to upskill and support your career growth  Work in a professional, safety-first environment with modern equipment  How to Apply  If you are interested in joining a successful business for this fantastic full-time position, please send us your resume today.   Not the job you are after?
