We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Motor Vehicle Parts and Accessories Fitter (General) to carry out accessory fitting, minor repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles. This role involves working on custom fit-outs, tyre and exhaust repairs, cooling systems, glass replacement.

Task & responsibilities

• Perform fits and replaces parts and accessories on customer vehicles according to specific needs. 
• Remove damaged windscreens and side windows, clean mounting areas, and install new automotive glass and seals.
• Remove old and damaged exterior parts and prepare surfaces for replacements or repairs.
• Inspect, remove, and replace mufflers, extractors, and exhaust pipes as needed.
• Repair and reinforce muffler mountings using appropriate tools.
• Remove and clean radiators, replacing worn parts like hoses, water pumps, thermostats, and head gaskets.
• Reinstall repaired or new radiators and pressure test the system for proper functionality.
• Safely move and park vehicles around the workshop and yard areas.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, maintain a clean workspace, and properly store tools and parts.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification at AQF Certificate II qualification or equivalent or higher in related field is required. 
• Minimum 1-year hands-on experience in fitting and installing motor vehicle parts and accessories or relevant work experience in related field (At least 20 hours per week). 
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose part fitment issues and suggest practical solutions.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and component compatibility.
