The Tyre Factory Ravenhall Pty Ltd (ABN: 28649117788) is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Ravenhall, VIC.

📍 Job Location

⚙️ Key Duties and Responsibilities

Communication: Communicating with clients and Supervisor to take details of any faults and issues with light motor vehicles.

Diagnosis: Checking, performing tests, and diagnosing faults and issues in engines. Using computer systems in diagnosing the faults.

Equipment Usage: Using automotive equipment such as Hoists, compressed air tools, jacks, electric power tools, lifting equipment, and manual tools according to the job requirements.

Inspection: Checking car parts such as shafts, shockers, brakes, lights, etc., to ensure proper working of the motor vehicle.

Repair/Replacement: Removing, repairing, and replacing the vehicle parts as required and assembling the parts in their proper location.

Servicing: Performing regular servicing of engines and transmissions by replacing the engine oil, Transmission oil, oil filters, air filters, lights, checking water levels, brakes, checking all lubricant levels, air in tyres, etc.

Major Repairs (If Required): Removing and dismantling the engine assembly, transmission, drive shafts, steering rack, axles, ball joints, etc., and placing them back (reassembly) after repair or replacement.

Testing & Handover: Testing vehicles after service and repairs, and ensuring the vehicle is returned to the client in full working order. Referring to other services such as Tyre alignment, auto electricians, air conditioning services, etc., if required.

Compliance: Ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order and compliant with state regulations.

Workshop Safety: Following Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and always keeping the workplace safe, including reporting any OHS risks and major issues to the Supervisor immediately.

Disposal: Ensuring Oils and other hazardous chemicals are stored and disposed of properly.

⭐ Requirements

Experience Required: 1 year

Qualifications: Diploma in Automotive technology preferred. At least Cert 4 in Automotive Diagnosis.

Job Type: Full time

💰 Salary Range

$75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation
