About the role

Timport Specialised Timber Products is seeking a skilled Timber / Wood Machinist to join our team in Crestmead, Queensland. As a Timber / Wood Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production and manufacturing processes within our business. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the ongoing success of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Operate a range of woodworking machinery with precision and care, including saws, planers, routers, and lathes

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing of timber components

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machinery to maintain optimal operating conditions

• Work collaboratively with the production Supervisor and the Production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of orders

• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Timber / Wood Machinist or in a similar role within the Timber industry

• Proficient in the use of a wide range of woodworking machinery

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety

• A forklift licence would be an advantage
